He flew/soared/zipped into action, using/employing/harnessing his super strength/amazing powers/mighty abilities to fight/battle/compete the evil villain.
After a long and difficult/challenging/tough battle, Mighty Mouse defeated/overcame/triumphed over Dr. Meaney/Doom/Claw. The world was safe once again!
